Scope it before we start
You should know what the crew will do, what it costs and whether anyone is coming inside — before the truck is booked, not after.
About
Ventz cleans dryer vents. That is the whole business — not ducts, not carpets, not whatever else fits in the truck.
Well… sometimes we do clean gutters too. In seasonal markets, when gutter season comes around, we will. But the focus never moves: dryer vents are what this company is built to do, and that narrowness is exactly what makes the scheduling predictable and the pricing repeatable.
Founder
I started Ventz because nobody was actually doing this.
Look at who cleans dryer vents around here. They are pressure washing companies. They are painters. They are HVAC guys with a slow month. They take a guy off one crew, hand him a tool he has never used, and send him out to clean vents on Tuesday. Then he goes back to painting on Wednesday.
That creates two problems and they both land on the property manager. The first is price: when vent cleaning is a side item, it gets priced like a side item. I have seen quotes from $10 a unit all the way to $150. A hundred and fifty dollars a unit is bananas — for that we would be pulling the dryer out, taking it apart, cleaning the drum and disinfecting the whole thing. That is a different service entirely, and it is not what anybody is getting for that money.
The second problem is the guy. He is not trained on this specifically, so he does not know what he is looking at.
I have been doing dryer vents since 2013, and the fix was never a better sales pitch. It was standardizing the parts that kept going wrong: a fixed formula instead of a guess, no salespeople to pay for out of your invoice, and equipment good enough that the technician is not on a clock inside each vent.
Because here is the honest truth about what we sell: this is a compliance product. Nobody wakes up wanting to spend money on it. So our job is to make it as easy and as cost-effective as we possibly can, and then get out of your way.

The model
Ventz is not one company with trucks in three states. Every market has a Local Market Partner — an owner operator with their own legal entity, running under the Ventz name as a DBA on their own contractor's licence.
In Oregon that partner is Two Man Crew LLC, operating as Ventz Oregon. In Phoenix, the partner is my son.
An owner operator shows up differently. He is not racing anybody to the bottom on wages, because the wage is not the point — he is earning enough to support his family and he is proud of work with his name attached to it. Our operators get paid well. That is not charity, it is the mechanism.
You get one standard of service wherever your portfolio sits, and still get the local crew everyone would rather deal with.
Our warranty
Short enough to read, specific enough to hold us to.
If the dryer vent is clogged, we will return at no cost and clear it again.
The return visit is worked from inside the unit, which is why access matters — a clog that survived an exterior clean is usually not at the exterior end.
In his own words
How the pricing formula was built, what goes wrong on properties that skip vent maintenance, and why every market runs through a local partner.

How we operate
You should know what the crew will do, what it costs and whether anyone is coming inside — before the truck is booked, not after.
A formula, not a salesperson. The same property costs the same thing next year, and we are not paying commissions out of your invoice.
As we open new regions, the process, the pricing formula and the reporting standard travel with us.
He is on the cap, the truck and the invoice. If you have seen him on your property, the vents got cleaned. Questions either way — (971) 777-3813.
We will send the full compliance package before you commit to anything.
