Service notice
Vent cleaning is coming to your building.
Your property manager has scheduled dryer vent cleaning. The date and the homes affected are in the notice they posted — this page just explains what the day is actually like.
-
It is loud, and we are sorry
Our van makes air pressure, so it is noisy outside. And when the line goes into your vent, at the dryer it sounds like a jet engine. That part only lasts a few minutes per home.
-
You do not need to be home
We work from the outside of the building. Nobody needs to let us in and nobody needs to take time off. If interior work is needed at your home, you will be told separately and in advance.
-
Please stay off the hose
There will be a lot of air hose on the ground, and it is under pressure. If it breaks it can whip, which is genuinely dangerous. We put cones out — please keep children and pets well clear of it, and do not step over or move it.
-
There will be some lint
It comes out of the vent and it gets around. We sweep, rake, blow and bag what we can before we leave, but you may still see a little.
One thing to do afterwards
Run your dryer for 30 minutes.
Some time the same day or night after we have been out, run your dryer for about half an hour — either empty with no heat, or with a normal load. Either is fine.
That pushes out the last of the loosened lint. It is normal to see a little come through over the next few cycles.
Notice anything off? Tell someone.
If your dryer is taking longer than it used to, or anything else seems wrong after our visit, let your property manager or on-site staff know. They will pass it to us.
You can also call us directly on (971) 777-3813, monday – friday, 8:00am–5:00pm PST.
Every clean we do is warrantied for 90 days. If a vent we cleaned is clogged inside that window, we come back and clear it again at no cost to you or your building.
Thank you for helping keep your building's dryer vents safe and clear.
For property managers
Link this page in your notice.
Send it to residents, paste it into your notice template, or post the QR code. We also supply the same thing as a printable PDF with your property name, date, time window and affected units filled in — ask us and it will be in your inbox the same day.
There is a short video of the noise too, so residents can hear it before the day rather than on it.
